a walk in the park on a fall day

Art is in the eye of the beholder.

I enjoy walking around Meijer Gardens and looking at the sculpture that resides there. Today was no exception with the bold fall colors intruding on the gray, rainy day.

One thing I noticed was the different types of sculpture.

I like the simple shapes (seen below).
Then there are others like this one...

Can you see the heads? They have axes sticking out of them and the one is tied up.

Happy and cheerful? I don't think so. Not all art is happy. I thought of all the crazy people out there who create the art and wondered where their inspiration comes from.

Then I stopped thinking about that and just enjoyed the beautiful fall colors.
