rotate

There are a lot of things I could write about the word "rotate". Instead I'm appealing to the females in my audience (Hi Mom!).

I'm too efficient with the laundry. I constantly find myself folding the same five t-shirts over and over again.

They happen to belong to Bill.

I rotate through my drawers, digging down to the bottom of the pile to find the t-shirt I haven't worn since 10th grade (I've blogged about t-shirts before here and here).

There's nothing wrong with how Bill chooses his clothes. I just realize I'm very efficient when it comes to keeping clothes clean.

I'm pretty sure I have enough that I could go for an enitre month wearing a different t-shirt every day and never run out.

Bill has just as many t-shirts. He has an entire container full of them in the attic. Those are reserved for Workcamp though.

Why? I don't know. I don't ask. He also has a drawer full of them. I'm just going to stop doing laundry so I can have a nice change of scenery when I fold them.

more to countdown

It's time for random post Thursday!

Okay, if I could make that have some alliteration it would sound better. But I can't. Wait, how's this?

Thoroughly thrilling Thursday things

That's better.

We have our grill!!!

It will be several weeks until we get the new patio furniture. But since we haven't had patio furniture we won't miss having it. We are very excited about the grill. It's purr-dy.

I should have taken a picture, but now it's tucked away under the old (actually new, we bought it close to the end of last summer) grill cover.

I'll take some grilling photos, action shots when Bill breaks it in.

That won't be today because he's headed to Detroit. I don't know when it will be.

You know how much I love t-shirts. Here's one that I think is super clever.

Tulip Time Festival is going to be disappointing in terms of tulips in bloom. Here's the link so you can read the full article. I love the shirt. It made me laugh when I saw it this morning. This is good marketing.

The summer Olympics are slowly approaching. I saw a countdown the other day. Eighty-five days from today. Yippee!! I enjoy the Olympics.

I'm trying to think if there's anything else to talk about. But I think that's it. That's all I wanted to post. Completely random, but not nearly as long as random posts could be...

Happy Thursday!

t-shirts and tags

I have a t-shirt that is pretty old. It may actually be older than me. I have to ask my parents if they remember where and when they got it. I think they got it from my grandparents when they went to a trade show. My grandparents owned a small electronics shop in Niles, Michigan.

The shirt says "Built to Move, Road-Rated Receivers, Craig".

I don't know anything about the Craig brand and wonder if they're still around. Yes, I could do a quick google search, but frankly I don't think I care enough right now.

The point is the tag in the shirt. Have you noticed how much our tags have changed? Many clothes are tagless. Most have symbols, which I don't understand. This t-shirt that is easily from the 1980's has a tag that, get this, is only written in English.

Shocking.

Plus, the best part, it was made in the U.S.A. and actually has the address of the Ohio company that made it.

It's like a piece of history.

Maybe it belongs in a museum.

At any rate, I thought that was cool and wanted to share that with you.

If you read my post yesterday, I mentioned I had a secret ingredient in the carrot soup. We've eaten dinner, so I can share the secret with you now; it was honey. Just a tablespoon or so. I didn't measure, I just squeezed in an amount close to that. You can't taste it, but I think it helps cut the otherwise overwhelming carrot flavor.
